What You Need Done, and How It Gets Done
- Know Which Bin Every Unit Is In: Receive into bins with putaway suggestions, so pickers never hunt.
- Pick Faster by Carrier Cutoff: Batch ready orders into pick waves by cutoff and size, each with a sheet that walks the bins in order.
- Stop the Wrong Item Leaving: Scan the order, then each item. Wrong items and extra units are stopped before packing.
- Count Without Stopping the Floor: Short daily cycle counts for the SKUs most likely to be wrong, with differences posted to the ledger as corrections.
- Move Stock Between Locations: Transfers keep nothing counted twice while it is in transit, across warehouses, stores and 3PL locations.
- Give Floor Staff Only What They Need: The warehouse role sees bins, receiving, waves and the Pack Station, never costs or prices, limited to the locations you tick.
What It Looks Like in Practice
- Set Up Locations: Add each place stock sits: your warehouse, a 3PL, a retail store or Amazon FBA. Stock, bins and counts work per location.
- Receive and Put Away: Receive a purchase order with a phone camera and put units in the suggested bins.
- Release a Pick Wave: Before the carrier cutoff, batch the ready orders and print the wave sheet.
- Pack and Ship: The Pack Station checks every scan. When an order ships, the marketplace gets the tracking.
- Count a Few SKUs: Your Brain proposes a short count list of the SKUs most likely to be wrong; differences post to the ledger.
Good to Know
- Invechar runs the stock of the business that owns it. It does not bill 3PL clients for storage or handling.
- Shipping labels and rate shopping use your own carrier account keys.
Questions
- Can a 3PL's team use Invechar?
- Yes. Give their floor staff the warehouse role limited to that location, or invite the 3PL as a guest to see your shipping SOPs and a chat channel.
- Do I need scanners?
- No. A phone camera scans barcodes where the browser supports it, and any USB or Bluetooth scanner in keyboard mode works too.
- Does the warehouse role see prices or costs?
- No. Money fields are stripped from everything they open, and every other page is closed on the server.
- Can I run several warehouses?
- Yes. Stock, bins, counts and transfers all work per location, and order rules can route each order to the right one.
