Square Stock in Step With Your Online Channels

Selling in person with Square and online elsewhere? Invechar imports your Square catalog and sales history, and sends one Square location the same sellable stock as your marketplaces and online store.

Exactly What Syncs With Square

  • Catalog Items and Variations (Into Invechar): Every item and variation with all of its attributes.
  • Stock (Out to the Channel): Your sellable number for the Square location you choose, or your main location, pushed from the store page or per product.
  • Prices (Read Only): Read from Square for your records. Change prices in Square itself.
  • Order History (Into Invechar): Past sales for your sales, margin and customer reports.

How You Connect Square

  • Open the Square Developer Dashboard: Sign in at developer.squareup.com with your Square account and create an application named Invechar.
  • Copy the Production Access Token: In the application open Credentials, switch to Production and copy the access token. The Sandbox token only sees test data.
  • Paste and Test: Paste the token, add a location ID if you sell from more than one location, and test. The token is encrypted before it is saved.
  • You create the token in your own Square account, so no approval is needed, and you can revoke it there at any time.

What Your Brain Does on Square

  • One Pool Across Shop and Online: Your Square location is sent the same sellable number as your online channels, with Amazon FBA units never counted.
  • Restock for Every Channel: Reorder proposals count demand from your other channels and the stock you hold for Square.
  • Reports Across Channels: Square sales sit beside your online channels in sales, margin and customer reports.

Good to Know

  • Square orders come in as history for your reports and do not reduce stock in Invechar yet, so adjust stock for in person sales before you push.
  • Prices are read from Square and changed in Square. Invechar does not push Square prices.
  • Tracking is not sent back to Square yet. When you ship from Invechar, mark the order as shipped in your Square admin.

Questions

Which Square location does Invechar update?
The location ID you enter when connecting, or your main location if you leave it empty.
Can Invechar change my Square prices?
No. Square prices are read for your records only. Change them in Square.
Do Square sales reduce my Invechar stock?
Not yet. Square orders are imported as history for your sales and customer reports, so they do not move stock in Invechar.
Why can I not see my real items?
You probably pasted the Sandbox token. Use the Production access token from the Credentials page.
